Job Description:
A company is looking for a Senior Life Underwriter who will
analyze and classify risk for life insurance applications.
Key Responsibilities
Review and determine acceptance or denial of life applications with
face amounts up to $1,000,000
Ensure appropriate information for underwriting requirements is
requested, including medical reports and investigations
Interpret MIB codes and prepare reports for the Medical Information
Bureau
Required Qualifications
2-year College Degree in Finance, Business, or Economics
1-2 years of Life Insurance industry experience
Knowledge of life and annuity sales strongly preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Ability to work extended hours and weekends if required
