Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network is the premier
rehabilitation provider in Connecticut. We provide rehabilitation
services across the continuum - acute care hospitals, long term
care facilities, sub-acute rehabilitation, homecare, outpatient
centers, and in community settings such as senior centers, work
sites, and schools and colleges. We offer over 30 outpatient
locations with a variety of specialists, including oncology,
women's health, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational
therapy and speech language, we are known for our commitment to
high quality, customer focused outcomes.
Overview
Location: Hartford, CT
Setting: Outpatient
We're seeking a dedicated and caring Physical Therapist (PT) to
join our outpatient office on the campus of Hartford Hospital and
the Bone & Joint Institute. The office is also walking distance to
our state-of-the-art employee fitness center. This wonderful
location offers a great opportunity for care coordination with
system providers and is made of a team dedicated to health equity.
The office is comprised of a multidisciplinary team that includes
Occupational and Speech Therapy. Our Physical Therapists provide
orthopedic & sports medicine services, vestibular rehabilitation,
headache management, balance and fall prevention, as well as
collaborate with referring partners to bring necessary access to
the community of Hartford.
Position Description
The Physical Therapist (PT) independently evaluates, determines
treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that
identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolonged
physical dysfunction or pain, with emphasis on physical
dysfunction. This role encompasses evaluation skills and
techniques, analysis of patients, and therapeutic application of
physical and chemical agents, exercise and other procedures to
maximize the patient's functional independence. Evaluation involves
strength, motor control, joint mobility, soft tissue integrity,
pain, balance, coordination, posture, cardiopulmonary function,
endurance, gait and functional abilities in activities of daily
living.

Qualifications
Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an
accredited program by the - -(CAPTE).
Current State of CT Physical Therapy license required or active
temporary license at time of hire
Previous experience as a Physical Therapist preferred; open to
well-qualified new graduates
