Job Description:
A company is looking for a Communications Associate to generate
earned media and support fundraiser organizers through proactive
media engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Pitch and generate stories about fundraisers to local and regional
reporters
Build and maintain relationships with reporters to ensure positive
press coverage
Monitor news events and ensure local media is aware of relevant
fundraisers and protections
Required Qualifications
BA/BS in Journalism, English, Communications, or equivalent
experience
3-5 years of experience in a newsroom or communications
environment
Solid understanding of the media and socio-political landscape
Excellent project management skills for handling multiple
projects
Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external
teams
