As a dynamic, early-stage startup, we're looking for passionate individuals to join our team and make a real impact on people's financial lives.About the RoleAs Head of Operations, you'll partner directly with the CEO on Copilot Money's growth strategy. You'll also be responsible for defining and maintaining our team's operational excellence. For example, you'll:

  • Discover and develop new, innovative, and high-upside business opportunities
  • Manage the day-to-day operational rhythm of the company
  • Set ambitious business goals and help the team understand how to achieve them
  • Distill the complex relationship between the high-quality bar we set for our products and the efficiency with which we build and ship them.You should not just understand that we are a product-first company, but rather view our product obsession as our greatest asset.You should feel at home with uncertainty; at Copilot Money, there are many ways you'll be able to drive us towards $100m ARR and beyond. You should be able to proactively seek the most high-impact opportunities, understand and articulate the strategic value of your work, and ultimately set the pace for our growth.This position is based in New York City and you'll be required to spend two days a week in our Greenpoint office.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership
  • Lead teams across Partnerships, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and HR.
  • Work closely with the Customer Success team to provide top-notch support and drive scalable growth.
  • Create strategies to scale the business as it grows, while keeping the team lean and agile.Business Development & Growth
  • Explore new business opportunities beyond subscriptions, like strategic partnerships, employee benefit programs, and student plans.
  • Lead go-to-market efforts for new initiatives, ensuring they align with the goals of the Product and Customer Success teams.Partnerships
  • Find, build, and manage partnerships, including contract negotiations and nurturing ongoing relationships.
  • Develop ways to leverage partnerships to boost growth and bring in new customers.Compliance & Risk
  • Handle regulatory and contract compliance.
  • Identify and manage risks to protect the company.Culture & Leadership
  • Be a role model for our company culture, encouraging employee engagement and leadership development.
  • Lead the creation of programs that support career growth, skill-building, and long-term retention.What we're looking for
  • 6+ years of proven experience in a senior operations or business development role, preferably within a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
  • A solid understanding of financial management and compliance requirements. A background in finance is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving business growth through partnerships and innovative business models.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead through change.
  • A deep understanding of subscription-based consumer products.
  • An appreciation for good design and craftsmanship.Compensation & Benefits$200,000 - $240,000 a yearPlus other benefits:- Equity in the company- Health, Dental & Vision Insurance (company pays 100% premium for employee)- 401k matching up to 4%- Home Office Setup, and monthly Internet reimbursement (up to $80/month)- Wellness Reimbursement ($100/month)- 4 weeks of PTO.
