Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and skilled Team Lead to join our Prepared Foods team at Whole Foods Market. This role is responsible for assisting the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects.Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Team Leader: Collaborate with the Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets. Assist in the analysis of sales, reports, and labor.
• Develop and Maintain Store Layout and Product Merchandising: Create and maintain a visually appealing store layout and product merchandising display.
• Lead and Develop Team Members: Foster a positive environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale. Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members.
• Manage Inventory and Vendor Relationships: Maintain good vendor relationships, develop new vendor relations, and ensure all paperwork is properly submitted for vendor processing.
• Provide Excellent Customer Service: Maintain awareness of customer flows and needs and direct Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers.Requirements
  • Experience: 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
  • Skills: High energy, enthusiastic, and displays an affinity for our products, core values, and company philosophy.
