Host/Hostess Job Description at Heritage Grand BakeryWe are
seeking a skilled and professional Host/Hostess to assist our
management team in coordinating reservations, dining room
activities, and guest services. As a key member of our
front-of-house team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless
guest experiences and maintaining a high level of customer
satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:
- Reservation Management: Assist with taking and confirming
reservations, as well as managing guest waitlists and
cancellations.
- Guest Communication: Effectively communicate with guests,
staff, and management to ensure smooth service delivery and address
any guest concerns or special requests.
- Host/Hostess Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls and transfer inquiries to relevant
departments.
- Make and cancel reservations via Resy.
- Conduct daily confirmation calls to confirm bookings and
respond to guest inquiries.
- Monitor and respond to restaurant emails in a timely and
professional manner.
- Communicate messages to senior staff regarding special
requests, needs, and complaints.
- Organize guest greetings, seating, and exiting with a
professional demeanor.
- Utilize effective guest and restaurant procedures to optimize
guest flow and minimize wait times.Qualifications:
- Displays a positive and professional attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively
interact with guests and staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in using Resy Reservation platform.
- Available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends,
and holidays as needed.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods without
sitting.
