Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Meat Department Leader to join our team at Whole Foods Market - Tribeca. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining creative store layout and product merchandising, working with the Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, and assisting with analysis of sales, reports, and labor.Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Maintain Creative Store Layout and Product Merchandising: Create visually appealing store layouts and product displays that drive sales and enhance the customer experience.
• Assist Team Leader with Sales, Purchasing, and Labor Targets: Work closely with the Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, ensuring the department remains profitable and compliant with company policies.
• Assist with Analysis of Sales, Reports, and Labor: Provide support in analyzing sales data, reports, and labor to inform business decisions and drive efficiency.
• Lead and Develop Team Members: Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to ensure team members are equipped to excel in their roles.
• Maintain Awareness of Customer Flows and Needs: Stay attuned to customer preferences and behaviors, using this insight to inform product selection, store layout, and customer service initiatives.Requirements:
  • Experience: 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong leadership and coaching abilities, and proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for 6-8 hours, and work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in temperature and humidity.
