A Skilled Nursing Facility in the Rockland County area is hiring a Food Service Director. Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee, delegate, and evaluate the work of Food Service Staff.
• Manage staff scheduling, and prepare department payroll data as necessary.
• Supervise the proper storage and handling of food and supplies.
• Ensure the cleanliness of kitchen, storage, dining areas, and equipment.
• Inspect Resident trays to ensure adherence to the specified menu.
• Assist with tray line operations during mealtimes, as needed.
• Plan and coordinate food preparation for special events.
• Handle food ordering and purchasing tasks.
• Lead staff training and orientation programs. Job Requirements:
  • Certification in CDM is required.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in food service within Long-Term Care settings is strongly preferred.
  • SERV Safe or Sodexo certification is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of large-scale and therapeutic food preparation.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
