Job Description:
Position Purpose/Summary
Responsible for ensuring correct cash collections and disbursements
within the Collections Department.Work is performed under the
supervision of the Treasurer. No supervision is exercised over
other employees.
Essential Functions
* Collects payments and answers questions from the public via the
window.
* Responds to collection inquiries via the telephone.
* Prepares and researches refunds because of overages on taxes.
* Processes customer payments received in the mail or through lock
box.
* Helps other departments as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Ability to use basic computer software and Microsoft Office
Suite.
* Ability to communicate with customer on a professional level.
* Ability to keep accurate records and back-up to enforce solutions
to problems.
* Basic math skills.
Education and Experience
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* One year of previous customer service experience.
