Job Description:
A leading acute care hospital located in southeastern New York
is now searching for an experienced Nurse Manager Operating Room to
join their award-winning healthcare team.
This acute care facility was founded over one hundred years ago and
today houses nearly 400 licensed beds and offers a wide variety of
medical and surgical services. This state-of-the-art medical center
provides a number of patient care services including behavioral
health, oncology services, cardiopulmonary and vascular services,
emergency and critical care, radiology services, maternity and
pediatric care, wound and home care, and much more.
Reporting to the Nurse Director Surgical Services, the Nurse
Manager leads the daily clinical and administrative functions of
the Operating Room and surgical services team. The Nurse Manager is
responsible for managing staff schedules, leading recruitment and
professional development activities, maintaining compliance with
state and federal regulations, collaborates with leadership and
physician partners, leads departmental projects, and has oversight
of department fiscal budgets.
What's Needed to Succeed:
Registered Nurse RN license in the state of New York or ability to
obtain
Expert knowledge of surgical nursing, CNOR certification
preferred
Prior leadership experience in a hospital setting
