The Division of General Surgery at Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is a leading provider of comprehensive General Surgery resources in New England. Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (APRN) Role Scope The General Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (APRN) will work in an ambulatory setting as a part of a team of physicians and APPs who specialize in General Surgery and Complex Hernia and Abdominal Core Health. Responsibilities include: Patient management will include new patient consults, short and long-term post-operative follow up in a variety of satellite offices in the greater Hartford Region, inpatient transition of care rounding at Hartford Hospital, and coordination of patient care across multiple disciplines. In addition, a percentage of patient management is comprised of in-office procedures including skin and soft tissue mass excisions, incision and drainages and complex wound care. Additional responsibilities will include assisting with system quality initiatives.
