Job Summary:
-
The Labor & Delivery unit includes 16 labor/delivery/recovery beds, 5 obstetric triage beds and a surgical suite comprised of 3 ORs dedicated to cesarean delivery.
Surgical Technologist provides service and support before, during, and after surgical technologist procedures. Ensures the presence and proper arrangement of surgical technologist equipment and supplies in the operating room for each operation. Surgical Technologist assists the surgeon during the operation as allowed by professional and legal standards; and assists with cleaning operating room after the operation ensuring proper routing of equipment and used material.

Qualifications - - - - - - - - A minimum of one year previous Surgical Technologist experience required. Experience with Cesarean sections preferred.
- - - - - - - - Completion of a surgical technician program.
- - - - - - - - Must be certified through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). -
- - - - - - - - Maintenance of CPR, BLS validation and attendance of annual Validation Day required.
