Job Description:
Data Engineer (Bilt Technologies, Inc., New York, NY): Design
and manage data pipeline infrastructure to securely transport data
at scale using tools like Beam, Spark, BigQuery, DBT, and
orchestration tools such as Google Workflows and Airflow; Oversee
the data lifecycle through orchestration, observability, and
monitoring, including: conducting standardized quality checks;
maintaining proper documentation; programmatically scheduling and
monitoring workflows; defining batch and streaming-data
parallel-processing pipelines; developing data models to deliver
notifications; and resolving issues as they arise; Catalog and
maintain accurate data definitions for all assets at the
infrastructure, application, and warehouse levels; Establish and
communicate security, privacy, accuracy, and availability standards
for data governance to achieve continuity; Lead data-related
quality assurance initiatives to provide real-time data access and
interpretation for stakeholders; and Manage the data warehouse and
its assets, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and
data scientists to understand data needs, extract relevant data,
and deliver insights. Must have experience with the following in
order to complete the above-mentioned tasks: Experience with ETL
best practices and frameworks, data warehouse management, and data
governance principles, including Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
and Identity and Access Management (IAM); Experience designing and
implementing sophisticated data models to support BI and advanced
analytics; Experience administering relational databases including
logical data replication/CDC, SQL migrations, database migrations,
and reverse-ETL techniques; Experience with Java, Python, SQL,
Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes; and Experience implementing fine
grained row and column-based access controls based on information
type taxonomies. Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent
in Data Science, Computer Science or a related field, and at least
three years of demonstrated professional experience as a Data
Engineer, Data Scientist or a related occupation. Salary:
