Job Title: Platform Engineering Co-OpLocation: Onsite - Boston, MAEmployment Type: Temporary (July 2025 - December 2025)Compensation: $33/hrAbout the Role:The Flexcar Co-Op Program is a 5 month paid temporary employment program. The Co-Op Program replaces traditional classroom learning for one semester by providing 30-40 hours per week of onsite real work experience.Flexcar is looking for a Platform Engineer Co-op to help develop and support infrastructure, tools and developer experience solutions which power the Flexcar products. You will be at the forefront of the Platform team's growth and can be expected to contribute to the direction, development and support of the systems that Flexcar relies on. Our co-op program offers hands-on experience, where participants take ownership of end-to-end features that directly enhance the customer experience. • Engage in the full software development lifecycle, spanning from initial design to deployment of developer experience solutions like our tooling to build and deploy the Flexcar applications.
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and deployment of AWS infrastructure.
• Support the maintenance and usage of our observability solutions like Grafana, Loki and OpenTelemetry.
• Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with fellow platform engineers, security engineers and data engineers to develop inventive and resource-efficient solutions.
• Delve deeply into technical intricacies, collaborating with fellow engineers to streamline and maintain our build and deploy pipelines for simplicity and ease of use.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.What you'll love about working at Flexcar:

• Working towards a BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• The ability to work in person for at least 4 days a week.
• Willingness to learn and own your work.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a bias towards action.
• Experience with AWS services, Kubernetes and Terraform a plus.
