Healthie is hiring a Growth Engineer (Onboarding & Subscriptions)
to help develop and optimize our customer onboarding and
subscription management systems. You'll be responsible for building
seamless user experiences that drive customer activation and
retention, working with both our Rails backend and React frontend
while integrating with various third-party services.
The ideal candidate has experience with Ruby on Rails and React,
along with practical and direct experience implementing third-party
integrations (ideally payment systems, analytics tracking, and
CRM). While you will have thought partnership from other team
members at Healthie, this is a role for a highly-independent
self-starter with a knack for supporting business teams in
achieving important growth goals in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll be doing and held accountable for:
Ship features to optimize Healthie's provider onboarding
journey
- Develop and implement user-friendly onboarding flows that walk
users through account setup, profile configuration, and activation,
with a focus on reducing time-to-value and maximizing feature
adoption.
- Own end to end feature delivery, with guidance from Healthie's
Growth team, on features that will support Healthie's PLG strategy
Design and build solutions that reduce growth team manual
processes, particularly around customer subscription management
- Create and sustain clear, accessible interfaces for providers
to manage their subscriptions, including features like plan
selection, upgrades, downgrades, and cancellation processes,
ensuring users can manage their subscriptions effortlessly.
- Integrate and manage Stripe APIs for handling payment
processing, subscription management, and invoicing, ensuring secure
transactions, accurate billing, and real-time updates on
subscription statuses.
- Design and enhance backend systems to support complex billing
scenarios, such as prorated billing, promotional discounts, and
trial periods, and effectively manage subscription state
transitions to maintain accurate, real-time user billing
information. Ensure that business data syncs across business
tools
- Implement and maintain data synchronization with CRM systems
like Salesforce and HubSpot, including automated workflows for lead
management, customer updates, and activity tracking, to provide
sales and support teams with up-to-date information.
- Configure and oversee product analytics tracking using tools
like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or Segment, capturing key user
interactions, conversion events, and feature usage metrics to
provide insights into user behavior and product engagement.
Requirements:
- Track record of success: 3+ years of full-stack development
experience, with demonstrated experience working with Ruby on Rails
and React
- Payment Systems: Experience with Stripe or similar payment
processing platforms, including subscription management
- Integration Experience: Familiarity with implementing and
maintaining integrations with CRMs (Salesforce, HubSpot) and
analytics platforms (Mixpanel)
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in Ruby on Rails
- Strong React skills including hooks and modern React
patterns
- Experience with SQL and database concepts
- Understanding of REST APIs and web application
architecture
- Testing: Experience writing and maintaining tests
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and ability to work
both independently and collaboratively

Logistics
Location: New York, NY / Hybrid
This is a full-time position.
U.S. work authorization is required, Healthie does not provide
sponsorship.
The base salary for this role is as follows (depending on level of
candidate):
Associate Growth Engineer: $115,000 - $137,000 per year + annual
company bonus and benefits
Growth Engineer: $137,000 - $167,000 per year + annual company
bonus and benefits
Senior Growth Engineer: $167,000 - $197,000 per year + annual
company bonus and benefits
The target salary range for this position is part of a competitive
total rewards package. Individual pay may vary from the target
range and is determined by a number of factors including
experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant
business considerations. We review all employee pay and
compensation programs annually at minimum to ensure competitive and
fair pay.
